Due to our continuous growth, we are seeking a Project Architect to manage projects from the schematic design stage, through construction administration.

This is a permanent, full time position.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We realize that every interested candidate might not have all of the desired experience, but here is what we are looking for in terms of experience and skills… the more you have, the better!

The Project Architect will be responsible for contributing to and managing projects from the design development phase, through construction administration.

  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Plan and conduct work in all phases of a project, including participating in preparation of preliminary design work.
  • Participate in the technical development and coordination of the final design & contract documents.
  • Coordinate construction documents.
  • Participate in client meetings and proposal development.
  • Evaluate, select, adapt, and modify standard construction components and systems.
  • Coordinate the layout, design, and drafting of project drawings based on established office standards.
  • Coordinate specifications produced by various consultants.
  • Promote technologies and methodologies to create innovative approaches and to improve the technical quality of projects.
  • Mentor less experienced architects; assist in their career development.


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum of seven years of professional architecture experience in commercial construction.
Architecture software and Revit skills are a plus.
Excellent technical architecture skills.
Exterior construction: core and shell, framing, roofing, water proofing, etc.
Experience with: curtain walls, water intrusion, reflection, vibration, wind movement, and metal framing, cladding and roofing.
Experience putting together cohesive architectural work plans.
Experience working on complex architectural projects.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field required. Master’s degree is preferred. Registered/licensed architect preferred.
